Additional notes:

“Reframe” primarily focuses on some heavy under-the-hood performance improvements to offer a better experience while still bringing in some new content for you to discover.

Changelog:

Performance improvements:

• Launching Liminal Lust preloads about 100 MB of memory instead of 4 GB. (This is probably why it was crashing for a lot of people on startup)
• Compressed and reimported every single texture to take up 80% less memory.
• Refactored most of the game’s code so variables are stored as String references instead of preloads.
• NPCs get loaded during the warp screen instead of the moment you finish warping to prevent the exit animation from stuttering.
• Removed shadows.
• Removed dynamic lights.
• Removed Portal particle effects.
• Removed subtle tree particle effects.
• Set every remaining particle effect to 30 fps (instead of 60 fps.)
• Decreased clouds lifetime, cloud amount and removed cloud size variation,
• Dialogue and Pause screens no longer emit cloud particles when they’re in the background and not on screen.
• Rooms no longer emit cloud particles when they’re offscreen.
• Tree and bush swaying animations get disabled when they’re offscreen.
• As a consequence for all this optimization, the game’s file size is now significantly larger (but IMO worth it if it enables everyone to experience the game without crashes or massive stutters.)

Anomaly Content:

• Added a new Interface type anomaly called “Low Framerate“ that makes the game appear to have massive stutters.

Anomaly Sex Content:

• “Lights Out - Minty Clouds” now has a 50/50 chance of either playing the usual masturbation scene… or a whole new milking scene.
• There’s 3 chances of backing out of the milking scene or you can let her keep milking you for more nanites.
• The Portal popup text changes in response to which choices you make.
• Added 4 more Portal Locator texts where Perilisa teases you when the “Lights Out“ anomaly activates.
• If you tell Perilisa to let you go, the clouds will now fade away instead of instantly disappearing.

Karmall Sex Content:

• Karmall now offers an edging thighjob.
• This scene has a 10% chance of the condom breaking and can completely change the scene’s outcome.

Dialogue Background:

• Dialogue interactions can now display backgrounds and (as long as an anomaly didn’t hijack the interface) get rid of background clouds.
• Currently, there’s only one new background for when you’re passed out.
• Added the new background to every sex scene where you fall asleep.
• The Prologue screen now uses the new background.

Lifeform Labels:

• Each NPC now has a new stat: “Lifeform“
• There’s 3 categories: Being, CGL and Nulling. (Nullings are in the game’s files but currently unused.)
• Rananya is a being but does not display his lifeform status.
• Karmall and Pruzaieuv are CGLs and will display their lifeform status once they’ve revealed this information to you.
• Karmall’s lifeform status shows up if you ask her “How are you alive?“
• Pruzaieuv’s lifeform status shows up if you ask her “Why are you like this?“

Karmall Content:

• Karmall’s “That’s so cool!“ scene will now permanently change it’s outcome once you know she’s a CGL.
• This means the “That’s so cool!“ scene now only has a one-time chance of comedically shocking your character and that’s if you choose it right after asking “How are you alive“ for the first time in a playthrough.

Flying Ability:

• Player now has the ability to fly, which activates under specific conditions.
• “No World Collision“ anomaly makes you fly when you’re in the void.
• “Altered World - Sliced Up“ anomaly makes you fly.
• When flying, the player’s acceleration and turning speed is greatly reduced and emits a trail.

TTS improvements:

• Highlighting a sex option will now make TTS read how much it costs.
• If you select a sex option while not having enough nanites, TTS will say so.
• If you select an unavailable button, TTS will say so.

Misc:

• Updated the Prologue to say there’s 4 characters instead of 3.
• World boundary is now a part of the map rather than exclusive to the “No World Collision” anomaly.
• Added a visual indicator for where the world boundary is.
• Credited AuNaturale for writing all of the Paizuri Fairy scenes. (They’re in the game’s files but are currently disabled from spawning.)
• Added 2 new Portal Locator texts for when you go into the Void.
• Flipped the shine on the Portal windows to face the portals.
• Main Menu’s theme color will now only get applied when the game boots up instead of every time you go into the main menu.
• Added Perilisa as a spawnable NPC. Gihihihihi.
• Removed Perilisa as a spawnable NPC because she was too spooky.

Fixed:

• Added missing speaking references to Rananya in a bunch of his leave scenes.
• Camera no longer starts zoomed out and zooms in when you warp while the “No World Collision“ anomaly is active.
• Player acceleration is no longer frame-dependent.
• Fixed Portals not flipping during the "Mirrored World" anomaly.
• Fixed window details not flipping during the "Mirrored World" anomaly.
• Made the computers in the Server flip during the "Mirrored World" anomaly.
• Fixed camera's zoom function not working during the "Mirrored World" anomaly.
• (Hopefully) fixed the Welcome screen from getting stuck on screen instead of fading away in rare cases.
